6 Day Mobile Re-Supply Bag.

Copied from http://civiliandefenseforce.com An awesome Website related to a Militia, but also has Valuable survival information.

"6 Day Mobile Resupply Bag

Here is a way to resupply yourself in the field or make small caches that you can take with you.

Get a GI buttpack ($10 off ebay) and a GP strap. Hook the strap to the buttpack to make it a shoulder bag.
I can fit 6 days supplys in one.

  • 6 - 2 person dehydrated meals (supper)
  • 6 - 1 person dehydrated meals (lunch) or 6 packs of rice with cup of soup in a ziplock bag
  • 6 - dehydrated granola with blueberrys meals (breakfast)
  • 6 - hot cocoa
  • 6 - M&Ms,slim jims, cup of soup or power bars. either one or all
  • 6 days of batteries.

Depending on how you pack this might be all you can fit. Take out a days worth of food and you can add

  • spare pair of socks (or two)
  • any other perishable equipment
  • 3 day emergency ration
  • fuel tabs
  • baby wipes
  • T.P.
  • medicines?
  • bug juice
  • foot powder
  • ?????
  • A delivery of this stuff by support personal (or dropped off and picked up at designated location) can keep you out without having to come in for supplies.

Also being in the buttpack, you can keep them made up and ready to go. Wear one over our shoulder, stick one in your pack or attach to the outside and you can easily be out 3+ weeks. The MOLLE buttpack with all the straps works well for this.

Cache some in a 5 gallon bucket. Dig up bucket, open and run.

You can also change the buttpack for desired items.

Maybe a battle pack with a couple bandoleers and a dozen charged mags to resupply you after an engagement?

If your being resupplied why not some water too? Two 2 or 3 liter bottles full of water, gator-aid etc tied together with some 550 cord around the neck so you can carry two in one hand. Add a small length of garden hose to the 550 cord so it won't cut your hand in half. Empty into your canteens, save the 550 and toss the bottles to leave no trace. "

    RockyHarlow speaking here again.

A very good Idea is to have 12 or so already packed. 8 with Ammunition and Magazines, 4 with a 6 day supply of food.

Have you're boys at HQ set up a drop point in the field, then have them send a 4 man squad to drop then Camouflage them at a pre-established location, or have them send the coordanates to a GPS or cell phone.

    Target pratice.

So, you have an AK-47, 15 30 round Magazines, 10,000 rounds of 7.62x39mm, and an LBE or Tactical Vest. Now what? Let it sit and rust? NO! Get it out to a damn Shooting Range and PRACTICE. Shoot at the rifle range at paper and steel. But don't stop there! Run Tactical drills.

    SHOOTING RANGE MANEUVERS;
    - Long range.
    - Run and gun drills.
    - Flanking.
    - Room clearing.
    - Door Breaching* (YES it can be done with a rifle)
    - Shooting from cover.
    - Moving from cover to cover while shooting.
    - MAGAZINE CHANGE AND LOADING THE FIREARM!! GET IT UNDER 3 SECONDS FOR A RIFLE AND UNDER 10 SECONDS FOR A SHOTGUN.
    - Suppressing fire.
    - Changing from Primary Weapon to Secondary Weapon if you incorporate one in to you fighting system.

And all of that is at a Shooting Range.

    WOODLAND MANEUVERS;
    - Long range.
    - Run and gun drills.
    - Flanking.
    - CAMOUFLAGE!!!! IT WILL SAVE YOU'RE DAMN ASS IN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN SITUATION.

The Importance of an LBE in a Shit Hits the Fan Situation.

    An LBE is a gear carrying system commonly used by Military personnel. Web gear is commonly referred to as an LBE or Load Bearing Equipment, an LBE commonly uses a Set of Suspenders, a Pistol Belt, and a Set of Pouches. There are several types of Pouches, such as;

    - Magazine Pouches.
    - Canteen Pouches.
    - A Buttpack - Like a Miniature rucksack used for carrying survival supplies and spare ammunition.
    - First Aid/ Compass Pouches.
    - Dump Pouches.
    - Etc.

An LBE is used in primarily in a wooded area for maneuvers, it is where all of you Fight and Survival gear goes.
(In Picture, the Buttpack goes where the Poncho is.)

An LBE is customizable to the size of the user, Most LBE's use ALICE (All purpose Individual carrying equipment) equipment that incorporates metal clips that fit over the pistol belt and hold the gear into place.

LBE's can be made for under 100$ Under 50$ if all parts are used.

    Effective Firearm Calibers.

This is a touchy subject in the Tactical and Survivalist community. There is a Large "Battle" if you will, between .223 Remington and 7.62x39mm. More specifically the AR-15 and the AK-47. First off, I'm sick of hearing it, use what works for you! weather it be .223 Remington, 7.62x39, 5.45x39mm, or even a damn .22! But here are some Pros and Cons of some calibers anyway.

    .223 Remington/ 5.56x45mm/ 5.56 NATO

    PROS
    - Proven in Military (5.56x45mm) and police(.223 Remington) usage.
    - Lightweight.
    - Affordable.
    - Readily available in SHTF.
    - Usable in U.S. Military weaponry.
    - Ability to penetrate body armor at close range.
    - Accurate to a point.

    CONS
    - Shit accuracy past about 400 yards.
    - minimal penetration past ~150 yards.
    - People(/troops) will kill you for your ammunition if they are desperate.
    - Most firearms that shoot .223 Remington are Very expensive. (AR-15's are usually 700$+)

    7.62x39mm

    PROS
    - Proven in Military and Police use.
    - Affordable.
    - Readily Available after the Shit Hits The Fan.
    - Has a hard impact out to 400-500 yards.
    - Accurate out to around 500+ yards.
    - Most Enemy troops that would invade have AK-47s as a part of their armory.
    - Many Firearms that fire 7.62x39 are very inexpensive (SKS's are 275$-400$, AK-47's are usually 375$+)

    CONS
    - Lack the ability of Light Armor Penetration past ~100 yards.
    - Inaccurate for Long Distance Targets.
    - Heavier than .223 Remington in large loads.
    - You can't carry as many rounds of 7.62x39 in your Tactical Vest or LBE than .223 Remington.

    .308 Winchester/ 7.62x51mm

    PROS
    - Decently Availability after the Shit Hits the Fan.
    - Accurate for Long Range Targets.
    - Very hard impact.
    - Proven in Military and Police use.

    CONS
    - Heavier than most rounds.
    - LOUD.
    - More expensive than some rounds.
    - More used by a Designated Marksman.

Let Liberty Rain Down upon us All!
    Don't Tread On Me.

Moral after the shit hits the fan.

So your living in your attic, or in the woods. You are Bored as Hell, and you daily work is done. you are not doing guard duty tonight, what to do...

So some Moral boosters for in the field:
    Candy
    - Peppermints, butterscotch, gummies, chocolate, etc.
    - Hot coffee, hot or cold (Depending on climate) tea, Hot soup, lemonade, kool-aid, etc.

    Recreational
    - Paper and colored pencils.
    - Board Games if you have little ones.
    - Alcohol; Little airplane bottles in your LBE or B.O.B and Maybe a 5th or two in your stockpile. Your best bet is Whiskey and Grain alcohol, because they will work as Sedatives as well.
    - Cards, 2 decks.
    - Pornography, yes naked women do make men happy. paper not videos.

No drugs at all except for OTC or Prescription.
The only exception to this rule is Marijuana, Marijuana can be used for pain relief, or even in large quantities, to get a squad of enemy troops high, AKA easy picking or easy POW's. Now I'm not advocating the current use of Marijuana today, but after the Shit Hits The Fan it will be useful, and might even be a Valuable Barter Item.

    Ammunition Supplies.

Look, I know Ammo is pricey and only getting higher, so BUY NOW. If the Shit Hit The Fan right now, I wouldn't recommend going to wal-mart like the sheepel masses.

.22LR is around 1.75$ for 50 rounds of federal.
12Gauge slugs are around 1$ apiece.
12Gauge Buckshot is around 10$-15$ for 15 rounds. you can find 100 rounds for 70$
555 rounds of federal .22LR is around 18$ at wal-mart.
15 round boxes of Remington Slugger rounds are decently priced.
20 round boxes of .223 Remington or 7.62x39 are under 5$ even at wal-mart.
.357 Magnum is around 30$ for 50 rounds. you can find 1000 round bulk for 430$.
    .380 is around 15$ per 50 rounds
    9mm is around 15$-20$ per 50 rounds.
    40S&W is around 15$ per 25 rounds.
    .45acp 25$ per 50 rounds.
At military surplus stores 7.62x54r, .303british, 8mm, 7.5x55, 7mm, etc surplus ammo is relatively inexpensive.
5.45x39 is relatively cheap especially in bulk cans. (2160 rounds for under 350$ ammunitiontogo.com)
.308 Winchester/7.62x51 is really inexpensive in battle packs of 100-200 rounds.
22-250 is a little pricey retail, but check sporting good stores anyway.
    .243 is around 13$ per 20 rounds at wal-mart.
    .270 is about 15$ per 20 rounds.
30-30 Winchester is around 13$ per 20 rounds.
.30 Carbine is around 17$ per 50 rounds by Wolf brand.
.338 Lapua is around 100$ per 20 rounds for very good ammunition. 27$ per 20 for federal powershock ammunition.
.300 Winchester Magnum is around 18$ per 20 rounds and you can find 100 rounds for around 125$.
    45-70 is around 30$-35$ per 20 rounds.
    .50 BMG is around 5$ a round.

That is a basic list taken from Ammunitiontogo.com and wal-mart from memory.

    Wilderness Survival Rifle.

    Meet the Crickett

    http://www.gothunts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Crickett_22.jpg

    a .22LR rifle.

    30'' total.
    2.5 pounds.
    Single Shot Bolt Action.
    You can mount a scope.
120$ at Gander Mountain in store.

You can break the rifle into 2 pieces and store in a bag (Such as your Bug Out Bag) and 500 rounds (Also known as a brick) of .22LR weighs as much as 50 of 7.62x39 or .223 Remington ammo. Ammo is Cheap, available, and light as a feather. You can get specialty ammunition such as tracers, SSS (Sniper Sub-Sonic), hyper velocity, and powderless silent ammo, which are all very cheap as well.

I have nothing against .223 Remington, 7.62x39, .308 Winchester or the like, or rifles in the calibers, in fact I encourage people to have a battle rifle for SHTF, but this is a WILDERNESS SURVIVAL Rifle, for your Bug Out Bag, not battle.

You can bring down a Deer, or even a Bear with a well placed shot, or a single human enemy at 100-200 yards.

I know for a fact, because I have witnessed it, a .22 can make a 400 yard shot, and still nick a steel plate.
Hey all. If you live in KY, IN, or OH.
