Wilderness Survival Rifle.

Meet the Crickett

a .22LR rifle.

30'' total.
2.5 pounds.
Single Shot Bolt Action.
You can mount a scope.
120$ at Gander Mountain in store.

You can break the rifle into 2 pieces and store in a bag (Such as your Bug Out Bag) and 500 rounds (Also known as a brick) of .22LR weighs as much as 50 of 7.62x39 or .223 Remington ammo. Ammo is Cheap, available, and light as a feather. You can get specialty ammunition such as tracers, SSS (Sniper Sub-Sonic), hyper velocity, and powderless silent ammo, which are all very cheap as well.

I have nothing against .223 Remington, 7.62x39, .308 Winchester or the like, or rifles in the calibers, in fact I encourage people to have a battle rifle for SHTF, but this is a WILDERNESS SURVIVAL Rifle, for your Bug Out Bag, not battle.

You can bring down a Deer, or even a Bear with a well placed shot, or a single human enemy at 100-200 yards.

I know for a fact, because I have witnessed it, a .22 can make a 400 yard shot, and still nick a steel plate.
